Spectators fill the streets of St. Petersburg for the St. Pete Pride Street Festival.
St. Pete Pride’s signature Parade and Street Festival drew thousands of people to Downtown St. Petersburg and the Historic Kenwood District this weekend for two days of celebration.
Saturday’s Pride Parade drew large crowds along Bayshore Drive as community organizations, businesses, and advocacy groups made their way through downtown. WMNF Community Radio and The Big Gay Radio Show joined the parade, handing out carnations to spectators along the route.
The celebration continued Sunday with the St. Pete Pride Street Festival. The festival featured vendors, community organizations, food, entertainment, and live performances throughout the afternoon. This year’s entertainment included appearances by RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Discord Addams and Kerri Colby, along with singer Pepper MaShay, whose performance helped close out the weekend’s festivities.
St. Pete Pride is one of the largest Pride celebrations in the Southeast, bringing together LGBTQIA+ community members, allies, and visitors from across Florida and beyond. Throughout the weekend, attendees gathered to celebrate the community while supporting local nonprofits, artists, and businesses.
The weekend marked another successful Pride celebration for St. Petersburg, continuing the city’s long tradition of hosting one of the country’s most recognized LGBTQIA+ events.
