Tampa man steals Uber Eats delivery driver’s electric bicycle: deputies

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested after deputies said he attacked and robbed an Uber Eats delivery driver in Town’n’Country.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation into the robbery began Wednesday.

Deputies said the victim was completing a delivery on Sheldon Road and stopped to check directions.

The suspect then allegedly shoved the victim off his electric bicycle, punched him multiple times, and stole the bicycle before leaving the scene in a U-Haul.

Deputies identified the suspect as Daniel Eckstein, 30, and arrested him Friday at 12:48 a.m.
