Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Fleming Island woman in St. Pete Beach after they claimed to have found her with “Blow Off” computer duster, which they say she had just inhaled.
The incident happened on Thursday night, PCSO said, in the area of Gulf Boulevard.
According to deputies, they found Lindsay Turner, 40, “slumped over the steering wheel” of a car that hit the wall of a building.
Deputies said that witnesses had called 911 to report the incident.
In an arrest affidavit reviewed by 10 Tampa Bay News, the deputy on scene wrote that he saw Turner with the computer duster in her arms, adding that “The protective cap had been removed, and the can was cold to the touch, consistent with recent use.”
Turner admitted to having inhaled tetrafluoroethane, an intoxicating gas in the duster, and she stated that she recently relapsed after having been three years sober, the deputy stated in the report.
The woman was placed under arrest and charged with inhalation of a harmful chemical and DUI involving property damage, according to the sheriff’s office. She was released on bond Friday night.
