JSO provides update on W 25th St shooting in Northwest Jacksonville

  • November 4, 2025

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says a man remains hospitalized after he was shot multiple times at his home in Northwest Jacksonville.

Police say they were called to a home on W 25th Street just after 2 p.m. Monday over reports of someone shot. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 30s suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The man was transported to a hospital by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, where at last check, he was in stable condition. JSO hasn’t been able to speak to him yet because he was in surgery.

Investigators say their initial investigation found that the man was speaking with another man in a gray, BMW SUV parked in the driveway of his home. A dispute occurred, leading the man to exit the SUV. Police say that’s when he was shot several times before going inside his home.

Detectives and the JSO Crime Scene Unit were at the scene reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.

Police say this is believed to be an isolated incident.

Anyone who may know something about the incident is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number at 904-630-0500.

If you wish to remain anonymous, you can use Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-tips, or you can email jsocrimetips@jaxsheriff.org.
