Cape Coral ranked fourth among the nation’s top destinations for relocating homebuyers during the first quarter, according to a new Redfin report. The metro area posted a net inflow of 6,482 home searchers, trailing only Orlando, North Port and Miami. Florida claimed five of the nation’s 10 most popular relocation destinations, with Tampa also making the list. Nationally, 19.1% of U.S. house hunters searched for homes outside their metro area, the highest share since Redfin began tracking migration data in 2021, as buyers continued seeking more affordable markets in the Sun Belt.
