A big change is coming to our favorite airport with the iconic green carpet.

That’s right, we are talking about the Orlando International Airport, where a popular restaurant officially closes today.
If you are planning to visit Disney World, then there is a good chance you’ll be making a stop at MCO. However, if you are flying in or out of Terminal B, then a popular dining spot will no longer be available.

Gastrohub is a fan-favorite restaurant closing today after only two years being open. A few months ago, a WARN Notice (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) was filed by the restaurant’s operator. And unfortunately, this closure is leading to many layoffs.

This closure is most likely another step in the Orlando Airport’s Concession Master Plan. This is a plan that involves major renovations of Terminals A and B.

A large part of this plan includes new dining locations. So MCO has been letting many of its current vendor contracts expire and then signing new ones that will better fit the reimagined space.
