This week on The Big Gay Radio Show, Chris Gorman, Esmé Russell, and Vyn Suazion were joined by St. Pete Pride Executive Director Bior Guigni, Sapphic St. Pete founder Rachel Covello, and Florida State Senator Brian Nathan to recap this year’s St. Pete Pride celebrations and discuss issues affecting Florida’s LGBTQIA+ community.
The group reflected on another successful St. Pete Pride season and talked about the role community organizations and local leaders continue to play in supporting LGBTQIA+ residents. State Senator Nathan also discussed his recent election victory and his priorities moving forward.
The team also covered several national headlines, including the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to uphold birthright citizenship, its ruling involving transgender athletes in women’s sports, and its decision to reject President Donald Trump’s appeal of the E. Jean Carroll verdict.
The conversation continued on The Big Gay After Show, where Chris, Esmé, and Vyn spoke further with Senator Brian Nathan and St. Pete Pride Executive Director Bior Guigni.
