Founded by Dr. Joseph Mercola, the store offered organic groceries, supplements, health products and a cafe featuring organic meals and beverages. The company will continue operating as an online retailer through MercolaMarket.com, selling supplements, pet food, organic bedding and other wellness products. Mercola officials said the physical store represented a small part of the business as the company shifts its focus toward expanding its practitioner network.
