Moules Marinières | Serves 2
Ingredients
2 lb. mussels
2 oz of butter
3 French shallots, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, finally chopped
1 cup of dry white wine
2 cups of heavy whipped cream
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 tbsp of chopped parsley
Directions
Rinse the mussels
In a large pot add the butter, the chopped shallots and the garlic cook for 2 minutes.
Add the white wine and the heavy whipped cream and bring to a boil.
Season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper.
Add the mussels and cover.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle the chopped parsley on top and serve immediately.
Tip:
For a nice and interesting twist, just add 2 tbsp of Dijon mustard to the dish.
