TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida Department of Education has released school grades for the 2025-2026 school year.
The school district grades in the Big Bend area remained largely unchanged. However, both Franklin County and Jefferson County improved their ratings compared to last year. Each district increased its grade from a C to a B for this school term.
Furthermore, significant changes were seen at particular schools, including Leon County’s Sealey Elementary and Fairview Middle. Sealey Elementary and Fairview Middle both improved, going from a C to an A, according to the Florida DOE.
Sabal Palm slipped slightly from an A to a B rating, the report revealed. That comes after the elementary school soared from a D to an A last year for the first time in nearly 20 years.
