July 1, 2026 – The Duke Energy Foundation will award $773,000 to 22 Florida nonprofits and higher education institutions focused on strengthening STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. According to a prepared statement, this will help expand access to “hands-on learning opportunities” and help “prepare Florida students for careers in high-demand industries.” Organizations include the University of South Florida Foundation, Pinellas Education Foundation and Girls Inc. of Pinellas.
