After a busy afternoon of getaway matchups, Wednesday night has seven games on the main DFS fantasy baseball slate, which begins at 7:15 p.m. ET. There’s a fun mix of pitching and offense on the board, with plenty of ways to assemble a solid roster. Let’s dive in and examine the 14 teams in the player pool to identify some solid MLB DFS picks for Wednesday night’s slate.
Overall, the weather looks to be relatively clear, but a few of the parks should be set up for plenty of offense. Hot and humid weather across the country should allow for plenty of offense. Coors Field and Sutter Health Park are both on the board as two of the most hitter-friendly parks in the majors, but the wind is blowing in at Coors and out just about everywhere else. Environments and matchups are key factors when making your MLB DFS picks, so be sure to double-check lineups and forecasts before locking in your final roster

PITCHER
Stud
Max Meyer, Miami Marlins at Colorado Rockies, $8,800 — Can a pitcher at Coors really be the top stud on the slate? With the weather forecasts, it actually may not be the worst situation on the board since the wind is blowing in and the Rockies have struggled at the plate.
Meyer comes into the matchup with great form. He has 19+ FPTS in three straight starts and has over 25 FPTS in five of his last eight games. In his last outing, Meyer had five strikeouts in seven shutout innings on the road in St. Louis, allowing two hits and two walks. He faced the Rockies all the way back in his first start of the year in late March, giving up three runs in five innings and earning 11 FPTS.
The 27-year-old has gathered nice momentum since then and is 4-0 over his last five starts with a 1.78 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 33 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. He has a high enough ceiling that he’s worth challenging Coors to get his upside on this slate.
Value
Andrew Abbott, Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers, $7,500 — It’s not an ideal matchup against Milwaukee, but it does help that Abbott is a lefty and the Brew Crew has a 91 team wRC+ against southpaws, meaning they are 9% below league average in the split.
Abbott has at least five strikeouts in five straight games with 12+ FPTS in each outing. He has only reached 20 FPTS once during that run, but his consistent contributions are enough to make him a solid value at this price point. Abbott has struggled with home runs at times this year, but if he can keep the ball in the park, he has been getting enough strikeouts to still be a solid option. The Reds are looking to avoid a second straight sweep at the hands of Milwaukee, and Abbott will look to serve as the stopper on Wednesday night on the road.
INFIELD
Stud
3B Junior Caminero, Tampa Bay Rays at Kansas City Royals, $6,300 — Caminero is incredibly locked in right now at the plate with homers in five straight games and eight in his last seven contests. In those seven games, he is hitting .481 with a .767 wOBA and .889 ISO. He has a 69.6% hard-hit rate and 30.4% barrel rate during that stretch and has averaged 22.4 FPTS per contest over that stretch. He has 20+ FPTS in four of his last five, so he’s piling on plenty of production in addition to smashing a homer in every matchup. He’ll be in a solid spot against Seth Lugo ($7,700), who has actually been a more favorable matchup for righties than lefties this season.
Value
C Tyler Stephenson, Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers, $2,900 — Stephenson is a nice value below $3,000 that brings offensive upside from a tricky catcher spot. He’ll likely get the start against lefty Shane Drohan ($7,000) on the mound, and he brings both a high floor and a high ceiling. Stephenson has hit safely in seven of his last nine games, going 10-for-29 (.345) with two doubles, a homer and 7.4 FPTS per game. While he doesn’t have the highest ceiling, he has been consistent enough that he can be a good salary-saver who gives more cap space for other spots.
OUTFIELD
Stud
OF Andy Pages, Los Angeles Dodgers at Athletics, $5,300 — The Dodgers have scored nine runs in each of their first two games of this series at Sutter Health Park, and Pages has multiple hits in each of those games. He had 19 FPTS with a home run on Monday and had eight FPTS on Tuesday. He has averaged 11.7 FPTS in his last seven games while going 10-for-29 (.345) with a stolen base and nine runs scored over that stretch. The 25-year-old has moved into the second spot in the order and become a key contributor to the Dodgers’ offense when it’s going well, and they’ll look to close out a sweep against J.T. Ginn ($8,000), who has a 4.29 ERA and 1.62 in his nine games at home. Pages is a nice option with a high ceiling as a way to get exposure to the Dodgers’ offense, especially without Shohei on the slate as a hitter since he was expected to start originally.
Value
Cedric Mullins, Tampa Bay Rays at Kansas City Royals, $3,200 — Mullins has been a streaky hitter throughout his time in the MLB, and he’s heating up coming into this matchup with Lugo on Wednesday in K.C. He has hit safely in eight straight starts, going 9-for-33 (.273) with a pair of home runs. Both of those homers came in his last four games, and he averaged 12 FPTS in those four games. Mullins is 5-for-11 with a double and a homer in his career against Lugo, and he brings nice upside at a bargain salary this Wednesday.
