Miami-Dade and its cities are hosting a plethora of free events on Saturday, July 4, marking both Independence Day and the nation’s 250th birthday.

Several municipalities have incorporated that milestone into their programming, from an America 250 fireworks display to a downtown concert stacked with national touring acts.

Here’s a rundown of five free events happening across the county.

250 United: America’s 250th Celebration runs from 1 p.m. to midnight at Bayfront Park in Miami, hosted by IRIE. The event combines a FIFA World Cup Fan Zone with match viewing on a big screen and a concert lineup featuring Ashanti and Ja Rule, 112, The Fray, Shaggy, Willy Chirino and Orlando Mendez.

After the music wraps up, a drone show and fireworks over Biscayne Bay will follow. Food and cocktails will be sold on-site.

Admission is free, though organizers require an RSVP through the event page. There are no listed age restrictions.

Fourth of July Celebration at Tropical Park takes place from 4–9 p.m. at Tropical Park in unincorporated Miami-Dade.

Billed as the county’s signature Independence Day event and the culminating celebration of the county’s America 250 initiative, the free gathering is hosted by Univision personality Javier Romero. It includes performances by Whiskey All Stars, Celebrity Band 305, Giselle, Orlando Mendez and Piso 21.

Families can also expect a Carnival Cruise Line Fun Zone for children, with the evening capped by a fireworks show over the park’s lake.

Race to the 4th, a Fourth of July fireworks and concert celebration, will take place 5–10 p.m. at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead.

The free event, with free parking included, features a new drone show, live music, food trucks, a kids’ zone and a fan zone tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, ahead of what’s being billed as “the best fireworks show in South Florida,” which starts after sunset.

In Miami Beach, a pair of celebrations spans two neighborhoods. In North Beach, festivities run from 5–9 p.m. at Altos Del Mar Park. The event features live music from DJ Luc, MC Maria Salas and the Miami Beats Band; a family zone; food trucks; and a free outdoor roller disco at the nearby Miami Beach Bandshell, capped by a drone and fireworks show.

In South Beach, the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival Symphony Orchestra is performing patriotic selections, including Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” at Lummus Park, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Fireworks over the ocean follow at 9 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets for comfort at both Miami Beach events.

Miami Gardens’ Fourth of July & Juneteenth Experience Park-in & Party takes place at Risco Park, with gates opening at 4 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.

The city and its officials are combining Independence Day and Juneteenth programming, focusing on themes of freedom, inclusion, and family. The event features a DJ, live performances from local artists, food trucks, bounce houses, and raffles.

Admission is free, but there is a parking fee of $23.18 per car.

Organizers countywide are advising attendees to arrive early, review parking options ahead of time, and keep an eye on weather updates. Large crowds and road closures are expected at several locations throughout the day.
