• I’m ticked off at the immoral person who picked up my 50th birthday wine-colored surfboard that fell off the top of my white Ford truck on Tuskawilla Road before Red Bug. My name and phone number are on it. Call.
• Why is it when you call any office today, as in the county, city, state, or even a retiring congressman’s office, you are directed to a website to do it yourself? A bot could have told me that, but you are already on the phone and refuse to help. You, too, can be replaced by a bot to save taxpayers money.
• Central Florida Public Media, our local NPR station, is too full of commercials and the self-promotion is endless. I counted six commercials in a row the other day. Then the self-promotion. It’s way too much. And they ask for donations on top of that? I’ve nearly stopped listening.
The flip side
• I would like to thank American Express for noticing an unusual charge on my upcoming statement. I contacted the merchant and the issue was resolved. Thank you again to AMEX for noticing this and bringing it to my attention. I am a happy AMEX customer for many, many years.
• Thank you to Emma at the First Watch restaurant on South Semoran in the Lee Vista area and Brenda at the Walgreens on the corner of Curry Ford Road and Conway Road. They provided excellent customer service and were so pleasant.
