Lee County’s Fourth of July lineup includes Red, White & Boom, fireworks and a drone show
Lee County is gearing up for a full slate of 4th of July celebrations.
“They always know how to embody the 4th of July spirit down here,” said Cape Coral resident Gabby Davis.
One of the biggest Cape Coral events: Red, White & Boom. Cape Coral Parkway will shut down from the bridge to Del Prado on Saturday. The city celebration starts at 5 p.m. at the foot of the bridge on the Cape Coral Parkway side.
Fireworks will follow the celebration at about 9:30 p.m.
“I’ve been to Red, White and Boom several times, and it’s a great event,” said Bob Mulroy with Slipaway Food Truck Park and Marina.
People are also ready to see the city ‘Raise the flag’ on the state’s tallest flagpole at 2:50 p.m.
If you plan to come to downtown Fort Myers, you can watch fireworks and a drone show in the River District.
The fun actually starts on Friday at 5 p.m., with an Americana-themed Art Walk featuring artisans and crafters along First Street and free live concerts at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater.
The evening will end with a star-spangled fireworks display and drone show at 9:15 p.m.
“We’re going to take the kids to see the parade and go to the beach,” said Fort Myers Beach resident Haley Scepkowski.
If you are planning on coming to Fort Myers Beach for the 4th of July, the town will have fireworks and a parade.
The celebrations start with a parade on Saturday, making its way down Estero Boulevard at 10 a.m.
Matanzas Pass Bridge will be closed during the following times:
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Closed to oncoming traffic for the parade.8:00 PM – 11:30 PM – Closed to all traffic due to the fireworks show.
