Are banks open on July 3?
Yes. Most major banks and credit unions, including Chase and Bank of America, are open for normal operating hours on Friday, July 3, 2026.
Is the stock market open on July 3?
No. U.S. stock markets, including the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq, will be closed on July 3. Trading will not resume until 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6.
Is the post office open on July 3?
Yes, the U.S. Postal Service is open and will be operating on its normal schedule on July 3.
It will be closed on Saturday, July 4.
