JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – One police department in Eastern Carolina is reminding people to celebrate Independence Day responsibly, with a Revolutionary War-themed twist.
The Jacksonville Police Department posted a Facebook skit featuring colonial characters, reminding people to drive sober, even if that means calling for a carriage rather than getting behind the wheel.
If your Fourth of July festivities include alcohol, make sure you have a designated driver, a backup ride, a charged phone, and look out for the people you’re celebrating with.
The department also thanked Clove Hitch Beer Company and the Sons of the American Revolution for helping bring the message to life.
