MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — The warden of the Miami County correctional facility has now stepped down.
Brian English, who served in the role since 2022, announced on LinkedIn.
In his post, English described the state prison that’s located just north of Kokomo as a “difficult place” when he first stepped into the role four years ago.
It is one of the Midwest’s largest Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention centers and recently came under scrutiny after multiple ICE detainees died while held there, prompting protests.
English’s last day was last Friday.
So far, no interim or new warden has been announced.
