Start your celebration of the 250th Fourth of July with a delicious breakfast and great camaraderie at the Key Biscayne Community Breakfast, hosted by St Christopher’s Church and Montessori School and the Key Biscayne Community Foundation sponsored Parties by Pat and Agua Miel.
The breakfast is held from 9-10:45 a.m., on July 4, at the parish hall at St.Christopher’s Episcopal Church and School at 95 Harbor Drive. First Responders and their co-workers are invited to come at 8:30 a.m., to enjoy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, regular, chocolate and banana pancakes, fresh fruit and orange juice.
The breakfast is free for all, with donations most graciously appreciated.
“Before the Parade, fireworks and festivities, the Community Breakfast gives us a chance to gather as one island community,” resident Marilyn Myles said. “It’s a tradition that celebrates not only our nation’s independence, but also the spirit of friendship, volunteerism and neighborliness that makes Key Biscayne such a special place to live.”
Church member Ari Crumley added that they love how the community comes together for the event.
“The Fourth of July pre-parade breakfast is such an amazing Key Biscayne tradition,” Crumley said. “We love starting the celebration off early with friends and neighbors over Aguamiel coffee and great food.”
Carol Zeiner, a St. Christopher’s member and a volunteer for the event says, “It’s a wonderful way to begin celebrating before the Parade. You can catch up with friends and make new friends, all while enjoying terrific food at a festive event. We might even have a visit from a bagpiper.”
