Candles and prayers filled the air Friday in Dania Beach, where family and friends gathered for a vigil honoring a missing woman as investigators work to piece together what led to her death.

Authorities say Keisha Jones, 31, was last seen the morning of June 26 at a North Miami Beach strip club, and later possibly traveling to another location in Broward County.

Days later, her body was discovered in Biscayne Bay near Virginia Key.

“Keisha was my heart; she was my everything. I’m gonna miss her so bad,” said her mother, Ramona Jones.

The FBI has now taken over the investigation, while officials have released few details about what may have happened in the hours between her last sighting and her death.

“I don’t know if my sister suffered. I don’t know if my sister was scared. I don’t know her last moments,” said her sister, Danni.

Family members said they are still waiting for answers from investigators as they try to understand what happened.

“We’re waiting ’cause we are going to get those answers,” said her father, Richard Furlow.

The family is now relying on investigators, hoping new information will finally bring clarity and closure.

“Knowing that answers are coming and justice is coming,” Furlow said.

And for her mother, the grief remains overwhelming as she remembers her daughter.

“I’m gonna miss you, I can’t live without you,” Jones said.

The family said they plan to hold Keisha Jones’ funeral next week in Michigan, where she is originally from.
