Konchar was traded to the Jazz at the deadline after six-and-a-half seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies. Although it was a brief sample size, Konchar saw statistical career-highs with Utah but with that increase in playing time, his shooting efficiency decreased mightily. However, Konchar has a lot of experience from his days in Memphis, playing meaningful basketball, and could be a solid contributor in Miami’s rotation. Konchar will be an unrestricted free agent following this season and the Jazz are headed towards a rebuild. At 30 years old, he does not fit entirely into their future plans.
