TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A very muggy atmosphere will set the stage for showers and some storms again today.
Watching the radar this morning
There are some showers around this morning, but most of us are not seeing the rain. Coverage of showers and storms increase pretty quickly through mid-morning as a decent south wind will push the sea breeze north quick. So, pack the rain gear as you head out the door this morning and plan to be outdoors for the first half of your day.
MOST of the rain and storms will be wrapping up by early to mid-afternoon, giving way to sun and clouds to finish the day. Highs will vary across the region, upper 80s to low 90s for the Big Bend and low to mid 90s for South Georgia. It is going to feel like 100 to 106 this afternoon in between showers and storms, so stay cool and hydrated as always.
There will be spots that do not see rain again today, just the nature of our summertime afternoon storms.
Hot with scattered showers continue
The weather pattern does not shift much for tomorrow, rain coverage will be similar, or slightly lower than Monday. Highs in the low to mid 90s and humid, feeling like triple digits.
Wednesday will be even hotter as the thermometer gets back into the mid and upper 90s. Afternoon showers and storms will help cool some folks off, but the coverage of rain lower than Monday and Tuesday.
Late week heat
The humidity drops a little bit as high pressure builds in late week, lowering rain chances to around 20%, which means more sun and hotter afternoons. Highs will be in the upper 90s and feels-like temperatures up to 105 on Thursday and Friday.
