TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee police are investigating a deadly shooting after officers responding to a reported robbery found a man with multiple gunshot wounds early July 4.

The Tallahassee Police Department said it was conducting a homicide investigation in the 1900 block of Larette Drive. Police responded to the area at about 12:03 a.m. July 4 after receiving a report that an individual had been robbed.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man died from his injuries.

Police said the investigation remains open and active, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available. TPD said there is no known ongoing threat to the public.
