Missing woman found dead at McDonald’s parking lot in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Deputies are investigating after a missing woman was found dead in a vehicle Sunday morning.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the manager of a McDonald’s on East Fletcher Avenue called 911 at 6:57 a.m. regarding an unresponsive person inside a vehicle in the parking lot.

Deputies arrived on scene and found a black Volkswagen Tiguan parked on the north side of the property.

A woman, identified as Erica Giordano, 36, was found dead inside the vehicle. Deputies said there were no obvious signs of trauma or injury.

Giordano’s family last saw her on Thursday, the sheriff’s office said.

This is an active investigation. Deputies did not release additional information on the case.
