VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – Four Florida residents were arrested after police say they scammed elderly Virginia City residents.
The Storey County Sheriff’s Office says the residents were contacted in May of last year by fraud suspects pretending to be federal agents and bank fraud investigators.
Police say they were able to defraud their elderly victims of a large amount of cash and valuable items.
The suspects came from Broward County, Florida to the address of the victims where they obtained the cash and items.
The suspects were identified as 26-year-old Jeoffrey White, 24-year-old Haydn Thelusma, 23-year-old Inari Nelson and 27-year-old Armani Anderson.
