TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Some big changes are coming to the Tallahassee Marathon for 2027.
The organizers just announced an updated route for February’s marathon and half-marathon.
It will no longer include Cascades Park and instead will take runners deep into Betton Hills to Harriman Circle Park.
Race co-directors Robert and Korey Skrob said the change is the help ease congestion for runners as Cascades Park became cramped with over 2,700 runners this year.
“Being able to bring them to Harriman Circle and be able to see the neighborhoods throughout Tallahassee, we just thought it would be a great way to showcase the area,” Robert said.
“And to get the neighbors involved and if they want to come out and volunteer,” Korey added.
Runners will also start in three phased “corrals,” taking a page out of the Boston Marathon’s playbook, giving runners and spectators more space throughout the course.
The Bank of America Tallahassee Marathon is set for February 7, 2027.
