Selecting the “best of the best” in Key Biscayne’s Fourth of July Parade seems to become a more difficult assignment every year.
The 67th edition of the parade featured a record 75 entries, keeping judges busy for more than two hours as a colorful procession of floats, creatively decorated golf carts, bicycles, an iconic DJ Volkswagen bus and even a patriotic SuperMix concrete mixer rolled past the reviewing stand.
Judges Norie Del Valle, Ana Isabel Hume and Curt Obront carefully evaluated each entry while emcees Austin Tellam and Tim Stinkey kept the crowd entertained with lively commentary.
