TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Multiple agencies responded to a small plane crash near the Tallahassee International Airport on Wednesday morning.
The FAA said the plane, a Mooney M20, crashed into trees on final approach to the Tallahassee International Airport.
The Tallahassee Fire Department arrived on the scene near Cascade Lake around 11:50 a.m. and found the downed aircraft with one person inside.
Firefighters treated the patient who was then taken to the hospital for further evaluation, according to TFD.
TFD said no one else was inside the plane.
The fire department also worked to contain fuel after finding it leaking onto the aircraft’s wings.
The FAA will investigate the crash.
