A vehicle fire forced all southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike in Sumter County to shut down near The Villages on Wednesday, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The closure was before mile marker 303 and was first reported around 3:44 p.m., FDOT’s FL511 website states.
The vehicle fire had been put out by the time of this writing, traffic cameras show.
