BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a shooting at an apartment complex that left one person dead on Tuesday afternoon, July 7.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Qwaviez Hamilton, 22.
Officials said the shooting happened on Florida Boulevard near Marilyn Drive. A call about the gunfire came in around 3:45 p.m.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the victim dead with gunshot wounds, according to police.
There are currently no suspects, and the motive is unknown at this time.
