TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A family is displaced after a fire engulfed their home on Lynn Lane early Thursday morning, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.
Tallahassee firefighters were dispatched at about 5:14 a.m. Thursday and reportedly arrived within five minutes. The department said a single-wide mobile home was emitting heavy smoke from the front left side.
“Crews initially initiated a defensive fire attack before transitioning to interior operations as conditions improved,” TFD said.

Firefighters then conducted a primary search to confirm no one remained inside. The fire displaced seven residents, two adults and five children.
The fire is under control and the cause is being investigated.
The American Red Cross was contacted to help the family.
