Authorities are searching for a woman who they said is wanted in connection with an attempted armed carjacking in Dania Beach last month.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m. on June 6 at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel near the 400 block of Gulf Stream Way, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
The victim told investigators she was loading equipment into her car’s trunk when two people approached her and one demanded her car keys.
She refused to hand them over and the suspect who demanded them pulled a gun out of her waistband and pointed it at the victim, demanding the keys again, officials said.
The victim said she took off running.
Surveillance video released by BSO on Thursday showed the victim running into the hotel lobby to get help from the manager and an employee as the suspect approached the entrance armed with a handgun, authorities said.
The suspect pointed the gun at the people in the lobby, exchanged some words and walked off, officials said.
