Miami Autism Dad Victor Antunez interviews Daniela Chaparro & Daniel Carles, 2 parents who turned their own experience with disability into work that serves other families. Daniela spent 20 years in media running teams of more than 50 people, and loved every minute of it. Then her son changed what mattered, and she walked away to guide families full time. She now helps parents through the school maze she once faced alone, and she breaks down what most families get wrong when they choose a school, the first move on the roadmap she built, and what a parent should know before walking into an IEP meeting feeling outmatched. Daniel, a father raising a child with autism, works the piece almost everyone skips, the mental health of the caregiver. He explains why the parents themselves get missed, what happens to the fathers who go quiet after a diagnosis, and what he says to a caregiver running on empty and too guilty to admit it. Together they make the case for 2 ideas that carry a family further than most advice, empathy and acceptance, and the quiet power of a single word: “yet.” Your child isn’t there, yet.
