The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said a 6-year-old died after being hit by a car this morning. It happened just after 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mohr Road and Sheldon Road in Tampa.Â
5. Sarasota County deputy shoots man after altercation, sheriff’s office says
There was a large deputy presence at the Saratoga Place community today after the sheriff’s office says one of its deputies shot someone.
6. Early introduction drops peanut allergies in children nationwide, research says
In October, a new study released findings showing this practice over 10 years has dropped the peanut allergy rates in kids by 43%.Â

TAMPA TRAFFIC ALERT |Â The outside southbound lane and the sidewalk of South MacDill Avenue will be closed between West San Jose Street and West Palmira Avenue while the Tampa Water Department continues to work on a more permanent repair following earlier work to repair a water main break. The lane and sidewalk closure will occur from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day until the work has been completed. The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by Friday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m.
