House deemed total loss after crews respond to fire on Saddlewood Lane in Lee County
LEE COUNTY, Fla. —
Crews responded to a house fire on Saddlewood Lane in Lee County on Wednesday morning.
According to the Matlacha—Pine Island Fire Control District, crews from both Pine Island Fire and the Cape Coral Fire Department responded to a home on Saddlewood Lane shortly before 5 a.m.
When crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. No fire hydrants were in the area, so water was supplied by a tender from each department, CCFD said. It took around 45 minutes for crews to bring the fire under control.
Pine Island Fire said no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported in the blaze, but that the house is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
