Police say they seized more that 1,300 marijuana plants from the location on Hogan Road.
JACKSONVILLE, Ore. – Detectives seized about 1,300 marijuana plants from an illegal grow operation near rural Applegate on Thursday, July 9.
The Illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a property in the 100 block of Hogan Road outside of Jacksonville. Detectives also found a half pound of psilocybin mushrooms and 3 ½ pounds of THC extract at the site.
The location had no license for cannabis growing, handling or processing. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Enforcement Administration and Oregon State Police helped with the operation.
The Oregon Water Resources Department and Jackson County Code Enforcement came to the scene to conduct their own investigations. IMET is a multi-agency task force funded by a grant from the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission.
The task force includes personnel from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office. IMET focuses on black-market marijuana trade in the Rogue Valley while regulatory agencies investigate permitted cannabis operations.
