A woman in Florida was so upset that a pest control solicitor was on her property that she pulled a gun on him. Now she is facing serious charges.
According to Law & Crime, Cecilia Ross, 62, saw an Enviroguard Pest Control salesman riding a hoverboard and going door-to-door near her home in Lehigh Acres, Florida, Tuesday, around 1 p.m.
Ross, who was driving in her SUV, approached the salesman, rolled down her window and pointed a handgun at him.
“If you come back to my house, I will (bleep) kill you,” Ross allegedly told the salesman, according to Law & Crime. “I’ll (bleep) shoot you.”
Frightened by the threat, the salesman put his hands in the air and rode away, snapping photos of her car as she drove off. He then called police and hid nearby until Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived.
Police searched her home and found the gun. Ross was arrested taken to the Lee County Jail after being charged with aggravated assault, then released Wednesday after posting her $7,500 bond.
Fort Myers television stations WZVN and WBBH went to Ross’ home and found a sign that said “Guarded three nights a week — you guess which nights” and other signs warning people to stay off her property.
Ross is scheduled to be in court Aug. 10.
