TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Crews battled a fire at the R.A. Gray Building in downtown Tallahassee, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.
TFD said they received reports of an active fire in the R.A. Gray Building around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
TFD said firefighters discovered an exterior fire associated with construction in the area has spread into the walls of the building.
The fire spread from the second floor toward the third floor on the south side of the building.
Construction workers were outside when crews arrived, the building was evacuated and there have been no injuries reported, TFD said.

Employees who were evacuated were let back in around 6:30 to collect their belongings.
There have been no reports of damaged artifacts, TFD said.
According to the fire department, the fire was contained to the second floor wall cavity and did not spread beyond the wall space.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The R.A Gray Building houses the Florida History Museum, State Library of Florida, Florida State Archives and the state elections office.
