CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Pinellas Park woman was arrested after allegedly driving 125 mph in a 55-mph zone.
It happened Thursday on U.S. 19 in Clearwater.
Andrea Heyboer, 44, was charged with dangerous excessive speeding after a deputy observed her Toyota Highlander traveling northbound at an extremely high rate of speed.
According to an affidavit, the deputy had to drive roughly 115 mph to catch up with her.
Heyboer told the deputy she intentionally continued driving at that speed, even after seeing the marked patrol vehicle because she “wanted to drive that fast.”
No injuries were reported.
Heyboer was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
