Former Hialeah city council member Bryan Calvo was the projected winner of Tuesday’s mayoral race.

With 44 of 45 precincts reporting, Calvo was leading four other candidates in the race, including interim mayor Jacqueline García-Roves and city council member Jesus Tundidor.

Calvo served as a city council member in 2021, becoming the youngest person ever elected to that post. He left the council to run for Miami-Dade tax collector in 2024 but was unsuccessful.

Calvo holds a law degree from Florida International University and studied at Harvard.

Meanwhile, four Hialeah councilmember races were also being decided Tuesday.
