July 10, 2026 – Following a six-month closure for renovations, the Woodson African American Museum of Florida will re-open Saturday with an exhibition called “Many Voices, One Nation – Our Community,” in partnership with with the Smithsonian Institution and Florida Humanities. The museum, at 2240 9th Avenue S., will also celebrate its 20th anniversary with a ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
