One person was injured and three families were displaced after an apartment fire in Tampa, officials say.

Fire crews responded to the scene on Quinton Drive around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. There they found heavy fire and smoke coming through the roof of the two-story building.

Hillsborough County firefighters were able to contain the fire within 25 minutes.

One civilian was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Three families who live in the building have been displaced due to the damage. They will receive assistance from the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
