FORT PIERCE – A fire that broke out on July 10 at about 8:02 p.m., at a home in the 100 block of Castana Court, Port St. Lucie remains under investigation.

St. Lucie County Fire District crews responded to the single-story to find smoke showing, according to the fire district Facebook posting.

Inittial reports indicated possible occupants trapped inside; however, all occupants were accounted for, according to the Facebook posting.

As firefighters conducted an aggressive interior fire attack, they successfully rescued two dogs from the burning home, according to the Facebook posting.

Two people were evaluated at the scene, and there were no firefighter injuries, according to the Facebook posting.

The area is south of Southwest Prima Vista Boulevard and east of Florida’s Turnpike.
