TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell has been sworn in as first vice president of the Florida Police Chiefs Association, a leadership role that will put him at the center of statewide efforts to strengthen law enforcement professionalism and expand training and leadership development for police chiefs across Florida.
As first vice president, Revell will also represent the interests of law enforcement agencies large and small on issues affecting public safety statewide.
Revell has served the Tallahassee Police Department for more than 30 years, working in nearly every division of the department before being appointed chief of police in 2020. His election to the association’s leadership reflects the trust and respect he has earned among law enforcement executives across the state.
At the same conference, retired Tallahassee Police Department Maj. Shane Porter received the Outstanding Command Officer of the Year Award.
