FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 turned deadly Monday afternoon.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes just before 12:30 p.m., just beyond the Daniels Parkway exit in Lee County.
The Florida Highway Patrol described it as a single-vehicle crash with just the driver inside the car at the time.
The car came to rest against a traffic pole. The crash blocked the right lane of traffic.
WINK News is working to learn the identity of the driver.
FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
