The Florida Avenue Bridge has reopened after being closed for three months while the Sewerage and Water Board completed sewer repairs near the Industrial Canal. In April, a broken pipe spewed millions of gallons of sewage into the waterway. Repairs on the pipe were completed over the weekend, but the utility said additional valve repairs will be needed at a later date. The Sewerage and Water Board says it will notify drivers when the additional repairs are scheduled.
