GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A head-on collision in Gadsden County early Monday morning left one person in critical condition and two others seriously hurt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident transpired at about 5:15 a.m. on U.S. 90 eastbound, west of River Birch Road, FHP wrote in a press release.
A sedan, occupied by three Gadsden County men, departed from the inside westbound lane just before traveling into and across the center grassy median, troopers said.
The sedan then entered the eastbound inside lane, which was occupied by a pickup truck driven by a Quincy man.
Shortly after, the front of the sedan hit the front of the truck.
Following the collision, the sedan rotated clockwise moments later and came to a final rest facing east, the press release wrote.

The truck also came to a final rest facing east in the center median.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the sedan was seriously hurt while one of the passengers was critically injured, per troopers. A second passenger was also seriously hurt.
The driver of the truck was left with minor injuries.
All of those injured were transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and the next of kin has been notified for each of them, according to an FHP spokesperson.
The crash caused all lanes to close temporarily just before reopening around 8:30 a.m.
