ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — An arrest was made on Monday in a St. Petersburg homicide from last year, closing the final open homicide case of 2025.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department Major Crimes, 28-year-old Jermaine Ivery was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of a 27-year-old man that took place on Feb. 9, 2025.

On that day, at 3:19 a.m., a fight broke out in a club at 901 9th Avenue South, continuing into the parking lot outside. Several shots were fired during it.
St. Petersburg PD state that a 27-year-old man named Delvin Jaquez Ford was shot while trying to leave the scene, causing him to crash his vehicle into a pole.
He was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital but died due to his injuries. A 26-year-old woman was also shot in the leg.
With Ivery’s arrest comes the closing of the final open homicide case of 2025.
