A Purple Alert has been issued for a missing Tampa woman believed to be suffering from postpartum depression.
Tampa police say Amber Rose Rhoads, 27, is believed to be suicidal.
Amber was last seen at about 1 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, leaving her home on Bourbon Court in the Forest Hills neighborhood.
Police say she is driving a gold 2020 Kia Sportage with a Florida tag of LBCP18.
Anyone who locates Amber is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130 and refer to case number 2026-416360.
What is a Purple Alert in Florida?
A Purple Alert is issued when an adult over the age of 18 with mental, cognitive, intellectual or developmental disabilities goes missing.
It’s different than a Silver Alert, which is used to locate missing people 60 years and up who are suffering from irreversible deterioration of intellectual faculties.
