Here are the Veterans Day ceremonies, parades in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – Veterans Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 11, this year.

Central Florida cities and counties will be honoring veterans on the actual day as well as leading up to Nov. 11.

Veterans Day happens on Nov. 11 to celebrate the ending of World War 1 on November 11, 1918 at 11 a.m.; the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. It was initially known as Armistice Day and was changed to Veterans Day in 1954.

Here’s a list of events happening throughout Central Florida:

Orlando 2025 Veterans Day Parade

When: Saturday, Nov. 8 – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Lake Nona

Details: The parade will begin at Laureate Park Elementary School and finish at the Lake Nona Town Center. A ceremony will take place after the parade with additional fun for the family.

Veterans Day Celebration in Winter Park

When: Friday, Nov. 7 – 10 a.m.

Where: Winter Park Community Center Ruby Ball Amphitheater

Details: Musical performances, speakers and more.

Veterans Day Parade in Kissimmee

When: Saturday, Nov. 8 – 10 a.m.

Where: Downtown Kissimmee

Details: Event hosted by Osceola Veterans Council. The parade will go through Broadway and surrounding downtown area.

Veterans Day Tribute in Oviedo

When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 – 5 p.m.

Where: 299 Center Lake Lane

Details: At the event, Commander Larry Kayne will give a speech about Veterans’ Day before reading the names that will be unveiled on the wall. Hagerty High School JROTC Honor Guard will provide the colors, and the Oviedo High School Brass Ensemble will perform the National Anthem.

Veterans Day Parade in Palm Bay

When: Saturday, Nov. 8 – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Where: Tony Rosa Community Center to Veterans Memorial Park

Details: Event celebrates the courage and sacrifice of our veterans and their families. The parade will begin at the Tony Rosa Community Center (1502 Port Malabar Blvd.) and travel east along Port Malabar Boulevard, concluding at Veterans Memorial Park. Spectators are welcome to enjoy the parade from any point along the route, with prime viewing areas available in front of Veterans Memorial Park.

Veterans Day Parade in Flagler County

When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 – 10 a.m.

Where: Bunnell City Hall to Flagler County Courthouse

Details: The parade begins at Bunnell City Hall and ends at the Flagler County Courthouse. Ceremony takes place in front of the Flagler County Government Services Building at the end of the parade.

Veterans Day Ceremony in Sanford

When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 – 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: Veterans Memorial Park

Details: Dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have served our nation, join us at Veterans Memorial Park on Nov. 11 as we pay tribute to their sacrifices and celebrate their unwavering commitment. Let us come together as a community to express our gratitude and respect for our veterans.

Veterans Day Ceremony in Ocoee

When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Bill Breeze Park

Details: The event will feature a fire truck display and a ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Fireworks will light up the sky following the ceremony.

Veterans Day Tribute in Winter Springs

When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 – 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: Winter Springs Town Center

Details: The City of Winter Springs Veterans Day Tribute Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 6–7 p.m. at the Veterans and Military Services Memorial in the Winter Springs Town Center. We’ll come together to recognize all veterans and celebrate our Hometown Hero.

Veterans Day Parade in Leesburg

When: Saturday, Nov. 8 – 11 a.m.

Where: Downtown Leesburg

Details: Enjoy a vibrant procession featuring marching bands, decorated floats, veteran organizations, and much more.

Salute to Veterans in Eustis

When: Saturday, Nov. 8 – 8 a.m.

Where: Downtown Eustis

Details: Phantom Airborne Brigade paratroopers will conduct a Veteran’s Day Tribute Jump into Lake Eustis to honor our veterans and active duty service members. The jump will start at 8 a.m. and will be followed by the annual Salute to Veterans Parade.

Veterans Day Celebration in Melbourne Beach

When: Tuesday, Nov. 11 – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Where: Ryckman Park

Details: A flag ceremony will kick off the ceremony at 9 AM. Free coffee and donuts, crafts for the kids, and Ask a Veteran stations where Veterans will share more about their time in service.
